The Partnership for Biotechnology and Genomics Education's goal is to help cultivate an informed citizenry that understands the concepts and issues involved in biotechnology and genomics and to expose students to careers in modern biology.
The Partnership for Biotechnology and Genomics Education (PBGE) is located at the University of California Davis. To accomplish our mission, PBGE unites collaborators in science and education research, teaching, and industry. Our projects include:
STEMware™ Innovative 3D virtual reality software focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concepts in modern biology
Biotechnology in the Classroom A highly successful biotechnology equipment loan program with associated curricula for hands-on instruction in secondary schools and an accompanying Biotechnology Teacher Support Network (BTSN) for teachers in the Sacramento Valley region
Student Internships Regional high school school juniors and seniors are placed in UC Davis researcher laboratories for six weeks during the summer
If you would like more information or have any questions, please contact us.
